Details: Safety Any journey into the wilderness will have risks and we are committed to practicing safety in all of our activities. The participants will be cared for and guided with safety as a top priority. None of our activities are high risk outdoor activities, and no participant will be asked to go beyond his own physical limit or pushed to the point of injury. We do aim to challenge the young men and some of the challenges do involve physical activity, so there are risks.
The course leaders are all current Wilderness First Respnder certified and are prepared to act in case of any injury or emergency. We will be carrying a complete first aid kit. In the event of a major emergency, we will not be able to contact the outside world for help, but we are no more than a 6 hour hike from the trailhead. Our lives in the modern world are filled with dangers. In fact, spending a week in nature can be safer than spending a week riding in cars or crossing streets. The most dangerous activity we will do is drive to the quest area. All participants will be required to carry their own health insurance and the responsibility of any health costs will be covered by each participant. You will be also required to sign a waiver releasing liability of the course leaders. |
